Very good food. Authentic Salvadoran food. I’ve had the pollo guisado w/ white rice, veggies, and beans, and have never felt to try a different dish because it’s always delicious and the taste is always the same which is why the food is always slamming.

Authentic, simple and homemade comfort food. Love the Pupusas, Tamales and Enchiladas. Family owned. The food has got good balance and does not feel like eating fast food. I love the homemade salsas. Service is casual and the occasional lapses did not bother me because the owner is a good guy!

We used to come here all the time when we were younger and just recently started coming back! It is just how we remembered it! Tastes amazing and fresh, the smoothies are amazing, and we love every dish on the menu! We hope you stay around forever! We will be making this a recurring spot for us again! We've been twice in two weeks!

Anyone that gives this place less than five stars is delusional, has no idea what they’re talking about, or is just a plain hater. I have been going to this place since they opened. I have never had anything but five star service. The food is always on point, I would recommend to anyone and the wait is well worth it. This place is a treasure and one of Portland’s Best places if you’re looking for El Salvadoran comfort food. my favorite thing to order from there is the beef stew dinner it’s not actual stew, but it is delicious

Tu Casa in Portland, Maine, is a solid spot for a quick and affordable meal with a cozy, casual vibe. During our visit, we ordered chicken enchiladas, beef enchiladas, and a chicken burrito. Each dish was satisfying and flavorful, especially considering the price point. The chicken enchiladas were tender, with a nice balance of spices in the filling and a tangy, slightly smoky red sauce that enhanced the overall taste. The beef enchiladas were just as enjoyable, with well-seasoned beef wrapped in crunchy tortillas, though we found the chicken to be the standout in terms of flavor. Both enchilada dishes came with a side of rice and beans, which were simple but complemented the entrees well. The chicken burrito was generously sized, packed with tender chicken, rice, and beans. It wasn’t too heavy, and the ingredients melded nicely together, making it a great option for a filling meal. One thing that stood out during our experience was the friendliness of the staff. They were warm and welcoming, adding a positive touch to the overall dining experience. Service was prompt, making it a convenient option for those looking for a quick bite without sacrificing quality. Overall, we’d give Tu Casa a 4 out of 5. The food was solid, flavorful, and affordable, making it a great choice for a casual meal. While it didn’t blow us away, it certainly hit the spot, and we would definitely return for another inexpensive and tasty meal.

¡Gracias por un delicioso almuerzo! Such a pleasant experience, the staff was so friendly and kindly helped me with my beginner Spanish :) I had a tamal, a pupusa and horchata. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. ¡Volvere de nuevo, amigas!

Try this place out, you won't be disappointed! We tried both types of tamal, sampled 3 of the pupusas, got delicious cashew juice (tastes like pineapple juice) and were so full we had to take the fried plantains home for dessert Super cute ambience & good value.

The best pupusas and rice have ever had. I wish there were more than 5 stars. The sacrifice they made to deliver my food, the politeness, the patience was amazing. I’ll order here over and over again. The rice and beans is on point and the pupusas was perfect. Thank you guys for your service .
